Questions businesses ask
What do I need to apply?
Your company's CAC RC number and certificate, your business address, a contact person, and your director's name, BVN and a valid ID (NIN slip, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card).
How long does approval take?
We usually review applications within one working day. If anything needs fixing we tell you why, and you can update and resubmit in the portal.
How do I fund my wallet?
Once you're approved you get a dedicated bank account number. Transfer to it from any Nigerian bank and your wallet is credited automatically.
How is commission paid?
You agree a commission rate per service with VatPay. It's credited to your commission balance on every successful purchase, and you can see it in the portal and through the API.
What happens if a purchase fails?
If a provider refuses a purchase, the amount returns to your wallet automatically. If a provider is slow to confirm, the purchase shows as PENDING, the money is held, and it settles to SUCCESS or FAILED on its own.
Can I see the API before I apply?
Yes. The API guide is public, with example requests for every service.
